About Jordan Reeves:
Jordan (they/she/he) is a queer trans non-binary Alabama native. They moved to New York City in 2010 and helped start TED-Ed (which has been viewed nearly 3 billion times online). Jordan recognized the power of the internet to amplify stories and left TED to start VideoOut, a platform that uses digital media as an advocacy tool for the LGBTQ+ community. In the past six years, VideoOut has reached millions with its message of solidarity and support, promising that “even when things aren’t getting better, you are not alone.” Jordan has produced over dozens of events, managed countless volunteers, and filmed 400 stories (consequently, VideoOut is one of the world’s largest libraries of LGBTQ+ stories). Jordan has worked with major brands like Google, Marriott International, Hulu, Verizon, P&G, and AARP to create LGBTQ+ inclusive content. They started VOE with a goal to work alongside the most talented LGBTQ+ creators to tell stories that are missing in the canon of television and film. Jordan is an ethical vegan, lives in Los Angeles with his two cats, Carl Dean and Louise Jolene, and has a growing collection of vintage lava lamps.
